price guide is kinda lame
why not let the rcu users decide?
put up a seperate forum(broken down like you have it now in the price guide section), but have a topic on each that is just a poll topic. let us rate the items kinda like this
TC3 - condition: used/excellent rtr-no mods
#1 $300-350 vote!
#2 $250-300 vote!
#3 $200-250 vote!
#5 $150-200 vote!
taking into accoutn people messing around and putting high or low numbers, im sure we have enough honest people to balance them prices out.
im saying this cause i saw a few prices and they werent very accurate. maybe in time it will get better, so ill be patient. just an idea

RE: price guide is kinda lame
It is the users who decide what the prices are in the RCUbook values. As a result the prices can't get any more accurate than RCU's book value guide. When an item sells, the final price, date of sale, number of days it took to sell, ad description and an average price are all given.
Goto RCUBook value and select Airplanes > Hanger 9 > Clipped Wing Taylorcraft
You'll see how many have been sold, what condition they were sold and the final sale price. Read through the descriptions given by the sellers and you should have an excellent idea of what your Taylorcraft is worth or what you should spend. the RCUBook Value is priceless when it comes time to determine how much I should spend on items and how much I can expect to get when listing my items.
The great thing about it is there is absolutely no speculation or opinion as to what something is worth... it is actual hard data from RCU's users providing the information!

RE: price guide is kinda lame
i saw th eplane section and it looks to be working fine for that area of r/c.
then i looked up a few r/c cars i planned on buying/selling and either there wasnt anythign there or it wasnt very accurate.
i guess the more people sell through here the more correct the price will be.

the more sales the more data the more accurate it becomes. also we have the description with the items so you can see if something was very high or low based on extra options or condition

all pricing will be based on real transactions and not user ratings/gradings. Only final selling prices matter. the guide is populating with 50-100 new entries each day.
