Default Wacth List Issue

Why am I automatically taken to my Watch List whenever I click on "Add to my Watchlist" ?

There is no need to send me to My Watch List. I already know the item is there ....I just added it.

Now click on the Back Button to get back to the item I was interested in .... just another wasted online step.

it is just so you can see it confirmed. we'll be adding some no page refresh confirm stuff after the forum upgrade project is done. you'll click add to watchlist and it will change to success without refresh

Marc,

Over the years one of your best attributes has been never resting on your laurels.

Despite your successes, you continue to listen to the member’s suggestions then act appropriately on the good ones that improve the site experience for all involved.

Continued success,
Bill

Marc,

YES I DID NOTICE and that actually prompted my response yesterday.

There is confirmation and the print is RED.

Perhaps other members will have some addtional suggestions for improvement.... but for me it's PERFECT !

Thanks again,
Bill

when you add something it should show up on the list if you go to it. if not make sure page is not cached. if still no joy post here what item you are trying to add and I'll check the db. when you click add it should change without page refresh to added status.

These are what I have added to my watch list. The link changes on the page saying it was added but when I go to the list it is empty.
Cache is emptied manually after each internet session to make it harder to be tracked at work. I do it via the old File Manager that is still in Win 98 SE that they are using at work. It is also what I do at home out of habit, yah, I am still using 98, works fine for me and has none of the annoying habits that Vista has on my laptop which has not been connected to the internet. Going to wipe that off and install 98 on it too!!
After thought, is it Active X oriented? If so I will turn it on.

Thank You,
Joe

I enabled all Active X controls and it is working again. So I would say that Ajax is supported by 98 SE/IE 6 with all the updates.
It also means a lot of time will be lost waiting for Flash/Macromedia files to download before the rest of a page loads at OTHER internet sites, like my online banking ads and RC Groups ads. RATS!!!!

Thank You for the help,
Joe

You mean RCG doesn't let you disable ads as a free user option like RCU?

glad you got it fixed
