Default Super Tigre 45 piston ring?

Hello,

I have an older Super Tigre 45 ringed engine that I'm rebuilding. I can't find any info on this engine, only the ABC version.

In any event, I have a replacement piston ring PN #SUPG 5345 (1-33-6-5A) that I recently (and luckily) aquired. But when I search the part number nothing turns up. Can someone please help me identify this as being a replacement ring for the ST45?

The size is just about identical to the original one. Fortunately, I was able to remove the original ring in one piece as it was rusted in place.

Thanks.

That part's been discontinued long enough that we no longer have a cross-reference for it. However, if it fits in your engine, it's the "correct" part.

Thanks for looking Bax. For now, I went with the original piston ring. Do you know when the ST 45 ringed engine was made? Do you know the part number for the piston ring for this engine?

Thanks

It all depends upon which version of .45-size engine you have. The .45 ring engine was discontinued well before we became the owners of the SuperTigre line, and the part number for those older engines are no longer available. What part numbers we do have for the very old engines are those that existed well before SuperTigre changed their part numbering system, so they won't help much, either.

Here are some pictures of what I have. I was pretty gnarly and seized up when I got it but it cleaned up very well.

Thanks Bax.
