supertiger 2000
I need some expert advise on a Supertiger S-2000. Until now, I haven't owned anything larger than a .90 size ship. My dad's buddy, who got me started into rc way back in 1979, is moving and sold me a Hangar 9 Taylorcraft 1/4 scale, RTF, with an S-2000. It is propped with an 18x10 Master Airscrew.
I got one flight on her so far. I set the engine on the ground without the use of a tach. He advised to tach it, and adjust it so that I would get between 7600-8600 RPM (sea level, density dependent). I haven't tried yet, but I do not have the instruction manual with the engine. ( would like to get one)As far as fuel and glow plugs, any suggestions?

RE: supertiger 2000
First off, an 18 x 10 prop is MUCH too large for the SuperTigre S2000. We usually ran a 16 x 8 or 10 prop. At full throttle, we usually would see the engine turning in the mid-7,000's or so. 8,000 is a practical maximum RPM, depending upon the prop.
Other than the references specific to the G3250, and the prop sizes, you can use the G3250 instructions. The info on fuels, plugs, and setting the carb all appply.
