ST LS Needle
Bax,
After 4 years my 3250 still hasn't broken in. Just messing with you, I've only run a half gallon of fuel over those 4 years. Anyway...I am going to mess around with the stock carb and was wondering what the initial setting for the low speed needle is. I have read the tuning procedures and see that the LS needle should be less than half they way across the spray bar cut out with the carb opened to full throttle but with how sensitive these carbs are I was wondering if you can tell me how many turns this equates to. Thanks in advance for the help.

RE: ST LS Needle
We never count the number of turns. That's because it can vary with how far the throttle opening may be. We just pull the carb and look into the bottom, per the procedure we wrote. As long as the low-speed needle's so rich that the engine would have difficulty idling, you'll be OK.
