Default 72 mhz and metal gear servos???

hey, my hk 450 took a random dive in a lake. one of my 2 dollar servos (yeah, save it) gave out supposedly. well i got the heli back but those hextroniks will be no good for 3d. i got a tail servo for 10 dollars thats digital and really fast. it is metal geared and i want to use it in cyclic. however, when i had metal gear servos in my foamie (electrifly silhouette) the receiver (hitec electron six) would get interference from the metal gear servos. i am afraid that if i use metal gear servos it will get glitches at the wrong moment in flight. is it safe to use? i have 2.4 but my good radio is FM. how can i solve this problem? use nylon gear servos?
