I'm new to flying and don't know to much of pricing if it's a good deal versus getting ripped off. especially the older stuff, I know the new stuff I can compare prices from stores, websites, forums.

question is, my LHS has a new in box align trex 450 se v2 kit for $250.00 usd. says all I need to fly it is put it together add a gyro and receiver. I read the box, it says included inside is 430xl motor, esc (not sure what kind) 3 align servos, and a lipo battery.

is $250.00 ? a decent deal or get a newer model?
some people at my field says to get a new 450 pro, some say i'm learning stay away from torque tube and get belt. I have the receiver from the spektrum dx8 combo, gyro I can get from eBay.

I think it's a good deal. The ESC would be Align 35x. It will be a good bird to learn on. I would not reccommend a torque tube setup to learn to fly on you wil be constantly tearing it up. Pick up a good used gyro nice align 750 or 780 will be just fine. Hitech HS65MG servos. metal gear take more abuse. and cost is about $35.00 apiece
