Hello ladies!
Been busy as a bee with my UGLY @ SS DART 450 frame!
Noel is privy to my being goofy on the set up but I posted "warts and all" video of my failed setup!
This is the culmination of gutting the DJI Flamewheel and utilizing motors and esc's as the APM took yet another ****e!
Really nice!
Hope y'all are havin' a happy new year!!!

I'm busy with proselytizing the SmokeStopper and being home alone with the wee beasties. Somewhere in the middle of that, I hope to have a answer for ya, b.
Hey... just out of curiosity... what is the actual size of the Dart from axle to axle? It sure doesn't look like 450mm compared against the ZMR250 and my FPV Spider...

All - Took advantage of the cold Wx this AM and found that 175mm is the actual CG of the 1200mm Popwing (of which I have failed MISERABLY in flying) and weighted same.
Additionally I got the "Discovery Buzzer" enabled on my DART 450! Kinda screwed on my ZMR 250 with the Afrom mini as there is no easy way to set one up. Grrrr!
Further, figured out how to get my "head lights" on, on y ICON A5 #2! Woot!
Sentimentally, I added blinds to my home shop windows and an additional light.
Lastly, in the place of a superfluous TV that I removed I found room for yet another plane!!!
Staring at the DHC Beaver OR the Skipper!

Hmmm... are those garden hose hangers you're using to hold up your planes? Clever! Harbor Freight?
Yeah, I'm looking at things changing drastically here very soon; we're moving everything in the living room around so we can divide about 6' of it off for my wife. We're building a studio in our home for her to teach private lessons; she has rented studio space in a local music store and only needs 5 more regular students to be making the same pay she was as a teacher for about half the hours a week. Her stress level is now about 10% what it used to be; she no longer comes home and barks at her kids (and husband) and with her private students, she only has to deal with kids who WANT to learn.
I'm working as a Computer Tech for the same school district she resigned from. It's frustrating, and more than a little ironic. However, as an hourly wage slave, I get to put my work in the cabinet every day at 4:00 and LEAVE IT at work until the following day; a freedom my wife has said numerous times she was jealous of.

They have A/C insulation covering over them!
You can't see from that piccy buy my Seawinds is hanging on their "larger" hose hanger!
It's a WONDERFUL (cheap) solution if one cares for their planes and still needs lateral movement around the room.
It also "forces" me to have a finite # of aircraft as men in my hobby tend to hoard!
Glad you found a solution for the wifey.
Mine just got out of the frying pan about 8 months ago with NO loss of wages or benefits but an 90% loss of stress.
Her last year of her old gig she got 6 upper respiratory infections. Hmmmm?
Stress will kill you quicker than a bullet.
Glad you got a viable solution for her!
Now if we can just get you to play well in the sandbox with others at YOUR gig!
As for me....just got off a 7 day stretch with NO flying since late January due to scheduling and Wx.
Flew my "wheeled" ICON A5 at the club yesterday and my venerable Slow Stick got LOTS of stick time. My buddy went retro and got one and is in LOVE with the mindless flying. However, it still helps with your skill set! An amazing craft that literally taught me how to fly!
My ZMR 250 "more than adequate" racing quad made an appearance along with my "DART 450" cruising quad. The latter of which will give you a FULL 12ish minutes of flight!
I hope all is well in YOUR worlds!

Hi guys, its been a while.
In the meantime Ive crashed, flown, crashed, oh and sold my house.
The 450 quad is proving to be a problem. Cant get the shudders out of the gimbal and crashed it last week trying to fpv. Man that gimbal throws you off. Using the Mobius as the flight camera doesnt help either.
The rebuilt ZMR is going fine although it did try and take my head off yesterday. I won though as I smacked it into a tree to teach it a lesson.
Looking for a new charger as well as the old one isnt balancing the cells properly anymore. Looking at this one. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=57096
Anyway hi to everyone and heres a couple of flights from yesterday.

Hi Guys,
What have I done, I'm in real deep here....just bought one of these http://www.modelflight.com.au/planes...plane-arf.html
Over two metre wing span, 60cc petrol engine, talk about trembling knees and thumbs on the maiden. I'm not going to add up the cost of all the required components as that would just make it worse. But I have been flying 15cc and 20cc warbirds with solid success so I thought I'd jump right in....dead forever and all that. BTW that's not me either.
Cheers lads,

Enjoy!

Hiya Brian,
I have had to sell some planes, three in fact to make some room for this monster. These planes don't look too big until you try and fit them in a garage, house or a car in particular.
It will be a slow and carefull build over a few months.
Best,
P

Cheers lads,
Havent seen a video from you for ages. Make sure you film this one.
We all seem to be going smaller with our 250 quads while you keep going bigger.
Whats next, a full size plane. Glad you stopped in and said hi.

Mmmmhmmm...
Looking nice buddy. Seems you're starting along the same path as me; steadily bigger models soze you can see the danged thing...
Pup is growing huge! Beautiful coat; you obviously lavish much attention on your "surrogate child".
What is that in the water there; an upside down paddle boat?
mnem
moo?

I was referring to my previous post about your pup and whatever that is that's sunk at the end of your little pond there.
