Default Aluminum case?

Anyone have the alum case? Is it worth getting to place your heli and tx in? Are there any cheaper case alternatives?

I have a case for mine and I love it. Mine is not an Align case. It says Comet 500 on it.
But the dimensions are: 29" L, 12" W, 7 3/4 " H. It has foam rubber in it that protects the heli and Tx, also has cutouts for the skids on the heli, the TX, 3 batteries and a wall charger. Lots of room for spare parts too.
I gave you dimensions in case you wanted to check walmart or some other store for something suitable

I got the align case. Pretty nice and fits snugly in there. Feel like I am a sniper carrying that thing around.

I use a case made for the zoom (with abit more foam cut out), Its about 4' long, 11" wide and 9" deep. In my job I get sent in ministry of defense sites or air bases alot, first time a military policeman searched the van and asked "whats in the case" I was stupid enough to say "erm....set of darts mate ", In that security search I was lucky he didn't take the tyres off the wheels to check inside.

Anyone have any experience with the aluminum case from OMP? Here's a link:

http://www.ohiomodelplanes.com/orderacc/

I have a 400 sized heli, and want one of these cases. Just wondering how the quality of this one compares to the Align case. Also, any others anyone recommends?

I have the Align case. It's worth every penny in hangar rash my helicopter hasn't received.

Now if I would just stop touching the ground at weird angles (tail first, rotor head first, etc.) and to much velocity, it would look pristine!

I dont see a spot for the TX in the OMP case. Does the Align case have a spot for TX? Mike

Yeah, the TX sits just behind the heli in the Align case.

The only problem is, due to the funky Spektrum antenna design, you have to trim a bit of foam to get the Spektrum to fit. Otherwise it's great. My case already looks well-worn and only a few weeks old, but the stuff inside stays nice looking

drtmind01, Do you have the OMP case? If so, can you please post the dimensions? They don't list them on their site. Also, does the foam insert come pre-cut?

Thanks!

Wingtote makes a case for micro heli's, it's not much cheaper than the align case (I think it's $50) and it's not aluminum though.
