RE: T-Rex 450SE "new" V2
I have a question. I've watched the videos from Finless, and there's something I don't understand about the ball link thing. If the ends of the ball link rods can only face one way, then how can you adjust the length "one half turn"? Am I missing something?

RE: T-Rex 450SE "new" V2
I broke down and got a DX-7. Got all my other goodies today except for tail servo
which is coming in a couple of days. It took three hobby shops spanning
four counties to get the three HS-65MG's and they all had only ONE... [sm=confused_smile.gif]
So is it ok that I bought the "airplane" system instead of the "heli" system?
To my knowledge they both contain the same exact programming for both,
but the airplane system defaults to airplane setups initially and
vice versa...is this correct? I'm sure the instructions are organized
as such also becuse my manual has airplane setups first.
One more, do you HAVE to use both receivers for the AR7000?
If anyone out there has this setup, where, if at all, is the aux Rx
mounted ?
Thanks for looking.

RE: T-Rex 450SE "new" V2
Hey sport,
I have the heli DX7 system, I believe a couple switches have different names and are in differet positions. Other than that the radio's are the same.
As for the reciever..I didn't even take mine out of the box. I bought the 6100 micro receiver and love it..it weighs almost nothing ($49 street price). Do't quote me on this But I believe the sattilite receiver would only be neccessary at a great distance and when the vehicle its installed in could block signal. Pod and Boom heli's are very open and really don't have much to block signal. Plus, you are flying so close signal strength should not be an issue
I mounted my reciever under the main gear.

Sportflyr,
I saw that you have the Electrifly Equinox balancer and was wondering if it is any good?? Anyone else used this balancer?
Also, what does everyone use to power their chargers/balancers?

Bob,
Haven't used it yet but will definitely report on it soon. A true test of any charger system
takes time though. I'm sure it will do the trick but, how many cycles I will actually get out
of my Li-Po's is the ultimate question.
Thanks Raser,
Had a little scare there![X(]
I'm just really worried about programming this thing correctly since
I am a Rex and Spektrum noob(own a Futaba 7CAP so not new
to airplane programming but new to heli progamming which is waaay more complex).
The Finless vids have been a great help but, I wish there was an updated
DX-7 setup guide for this heli.
Sorry for all the fishing of info but, any links, suggestions?
I take it it can be flown with basic CCPM and linear curves like a BladeCP until I get
the feel for it?
Thanks Again![sm=thumbup.gif]

I personally don't use loctitie on my motor screws.
I do check them alot though...I would hate to have one backout in flight...(mayday,mayday...were going in....splat!)

OK, no locktite then. Thanks![8D]
Just installed swash servos. Which control arms did you all use. The long single arm,
the shorter two sided or did you just cut the 4-arm that comes on the servo? I take it
whichever one it was that the link is installed all the way out toward the end?
Thanks.

Mavdriver,
How pretty is it?[X(]
Thanks, and keep in touch on your build.
I'm trying to come out with a plan for my servo wire routing right now.
Got it down to left side of frame only. There has already been some wire shortening at the factory
from the ESC to the motor so things look really clean so far.

Where is everyone placing the esc?
Up front or under main gear?

RE: T-Rex 450SE "new" V2
I know this is a newbie question but here it goes: how do I tune in a zero pitch. I have a Trex new V2 and a Futaba 7C. I have followed Bob White's videos (they are great). Everything has gone well but when I change the appropriate push rods by one turn I go from positive to negative pitch. I assume you do it with the radio but I do not know how. Is it just the main trim button along the side of the stick? I assume that is not the correct method.

I just flew mine yesterday its awsome , really smooth , with the new 430xl and 13 tooth pinion is crazy head speed , and the flight time are short , so i`m going try 11 tooth and see if i get a little longer flight times , will see , i love this bird .
