Default trex500 tail bob problems

Ive just set up my 500 for general flying. I keep having tail bob problems. The tracking is good and the blades are balanced. I have set up the th curves and the pit curves to alow for more head speed than suggested to try and solve the problem. I'm now thinking I should remove the 12t pinion gear and put the 13t on. Can anyone suggest anything more or am I heading in the right direction?

When you say bobbing, do you mean up and down or left and right?

Up and down is generally due to either low headspeed, belt tension (too much or too little), or another vibration problem.

I would bet on the headspeed being too low, what is your TC setting?

yep its low head speed, throw the 13T on and run a %85 midstick throttle curve in normal mode.

too check out what were talking about with your 12T bump up your TC in normal to %100 midstick and see if the problem persist. i would think it would fly perfect ast that point as long as the esc and hardware is set/tuned rite

If the TC is bumped up to say 80% at mid stick in normal mode, do you have to compensate by reducing the normal pitch curve ?
Is my reasoning incorrect that increased throtle in a fixed pitch heli will result in increased altitude ? It seems to me that all things being equal, increased head speed will cause the heli to gain altitude.

dont think to deep and leave your pitch curve alone!

if you have a 12t raise TC to %100 min midstick a 13t raise it to %90 midstick and see if problem persist

OK , I get it, the pitch will be the same at position 3 (mid stick) regardless of what the throtle is. Still....................Fagetabot it........... just do what the guy said.
Thanks
