RE: Trex 450 HDX servo Questions.
snail mail? where'd you buy it from so i can avoid such vendors.. i dont own an HDX but i know they are a clone of the trex. for cyclic most around here including myself go with the Hitec HS65MG on the cyclic. Gy401 or Logitech 2100t gyro and either the futuba 9650 or 9257 digital servo for tail control. Get the JustGoFly 450F motor with 11T and at least 35a for esc.
here's my exi450 which is a clone of trex before the upgraded the gy401 and 9650. it didnt hold well with the telebee and hs81mg so i had to upgrade.

RE: Trex 450 HDX servo Questions.
I have an HDX/TRex 450 hybrid (it has the HDX STK Superframe and the rest are Align parts) ... I use the Hitec HS-65HB servos for cyclic and love them!! They are cheaper than the MG's and hold up very well to crashes ... took 4 hard one's to strip their gears and gear replacements are cheap and easy.
On the gyro, I use a Logitech 2100T but know the Futaba 401 is a good gyro, the 2100T is less expensive but the 401 is easier to setup.
On the rudder servo, I have used a 9650 but recently installed a 9257 and am glad I did ... the 9257 is super fast to respond and doesn't cause my tail to snap so much at the end of some wicked fast piros, so I feel it is better for the 450. I also like the weight savings as the 9257 makes balancing the CG much easier.
