Default Trex 450 CLONE WARS

Trex 450 CLONE WARS Link thread
Awhile back to my disappointment, I hear from my LHS that The Trex SA was not selling well and everyone wanted carbon fiber and CNC and that the SA was not going to be carried any more. But to my surprise the strong hold was released and the flood gates are open to affordable yet great quality 450 clones that are interchangeable with my Trex SA. Here are some links Please add links and show us what supper deals you have.

Feel free to show other links to low cost GYRO, SERVOS, and ESC CLONES too

Is the HDX450 SE a clone frame is different but head and tail look the same?

EXI, Blueray, Genesis ,Vertex, Legend, SEF.
I hear these are clones but don’t have links to all.

I have been asked this about 4 times this week so I guess I will post links here. If you are wanting a full metal head that others and myself have found to be of good quality and a great price. The CopterX IS A good alternative.

For dirt cheap Trex XL, SA, 450 PARTS
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...&ParentCat=196
You can stock up on the parts you break the most.
I like this site shows how much you can add before shipping jumps up to next increase, and has 5 wish list. I just placed an order.

Lucky day! I just ordered 2 HK-450s from Hobby City (1 to fly - 1 for parts):

2 - HK-450 CCPM 3D Electric Helicopter Kit
2 - AL1039 linkage ball
2 - 3S ZIPPY-H 2200 3S1P 20-30C Lipoly Packs
1 - TURNIGY Plush 40amp Speed Control, 3A BEC
1 - TP 2415-07T Brushless Heli Motor 3850kv
6 - HXT900 9g / 1.6kg / .12sec Micro Servos
1 - PolyMax 3.5mm Gold Connectors (10 pair)
1 - Telebee GR302-Analog/Digital Head Lock & Standard Gyro
1 - Watts up Meter & Power Analyzer
1 - T-Connectors 10 Pairs (20pc)

The above totals right at $300. Take out the extra lipo ($24), the watts up meter ($54) and the extra 450 kit ($36) and its pretty amazing to see that a fully built T-Rex clone goes for under $190 before shipping!

Looked at your hobbycity site and think I will order a couple of their HK 450 kits. $35.00!!!!! Yes shipping is 45.00 , but it looks and is advertised as a direct T-rex 450S clone. This helps me focus on quality electronics!. Thanks for the link.

Not only is 450 kit price insane so are their zippy lipos. They have a 2200 mAh, 3S1P 20C for 17 BUCKS! Same batter but a better C rating (20C-30C) for $24 BUCKS! Quite a few of the reviews for those batteries showed test results and apparently the batteries have the C ratings & mAh as advertised so they're not a rip off.

Yeah I recently bought a 2009 belt cp v2 and that radio looks pretty familiar....it's looks like a rebadged E-sky TX/RX to me. I use my Futaba T6EX so I have no clue if it's any good. The pitch & gyro dials are nice because you wouldn't have to look down at the radio to make adjustments.....but I'm sure the whole thing is cheap electronics.

Anyone compare the HK to the exi. I know the exi is supposed to be completely parts interchangeable with the trex, is the HK the same way?

Yes, the HK450 is a Trex 450 SA clone, with a few differences......... Bottom plate on the HK is plastic, the SA is aluminum. Screw heads strip out easily( I purchased the SE screw set for mine). There is an issue with the "tail drive gear and pulley" spinning freely on some. Early models had mismatched blades.
I put the Copter X head and tail on mine.

I have the SA the bottom plate is plastic. I think you are thinking of the motor mount, On the SA it is aluminum.
