RE: Trex 250 owner's lounge
yup I know I have the same AR6100 on this bird, and it doesn't fit on the lower tray with the servo plugs
I had to stick it upside down below the gyro. It doesn't affect center of gravity, I've found that it balances fine with my Align 850mAh. I placed the ESC on the bottom as you did, just slid it forward until it touches the front landing gear.

RE: Trex 250 owner's lounge
I do have a ar6100e that I will swap out for once I'm happy with the setup.
Ran into a snag last night while trying to going over my entire setup before maiden. I didnt like the way the ball links were tight on the balls. I tried the squeeze method but used a little too much force and broke a couple of the ball links. the maiden will be postponed until I pick up some more ball links on Friday. I also ordered the ball link sizers so this problem will not return again.

its airborne! woot woot.[8D] tail is holding great. didnt even adjust a thing and its pretty locked. no tail wag at all. VERY VERY PLEASED!
video is uploading to youtube and will post video link as soon as its available.
blades tracked perfectly straight out of the box. this video is straight from setup to maiden. no adjustment has been made as of yet. I might dial some expo in as its very very fast.

Very cool, Noob! The interesting thing to note is the thickness of the sero wires and how they kind of give scale to the helicopter! That helicopter is SMALL! The more Ilook at yours, the more I want one. That would be perfect for doing circuits in my back yard where the 500 is just too big!
Damn... what a choice... Spend the bucks on electronics for the Gaui or spend the bucks for a 250!

How's your tail holding? what gyro percentage?
Try to assign gyro gain on your DX7 to your gear switch, and set both sides at 35%.... I am sure you should be feel a difference

my tail is holding just fine. When I swapped out the longer tail blades to the shorter ones I noticed a little wag before liftoff but once in the air everything is solid. I havent tweaked it yet and will do so today.

I use the carbon fiber blades from align. They are about 20 bucks and work great. I just got my t rex used for 150. Right now it has the washer kit, aluminum tail servo mounts, and different tail blades and dampers. I have a new canopy comming, along with an aluminum tailboom mount, aluminum tail arm, CF blades, and CF tail boom.
What are you guys using as means of tail servos and gyros? mine is ok, however I think it is more along the lines of it being to much off a gyro for this little heli. And me not having it totally dialed in yet.

RE: Trex 250 owner's lounge
my gyro is the align gp750 and I absolutely love it. Its really compact and fits in there perfectly. it also came with the ds420. Its working fine right now for me but I heard the hitec 5084 is really good for it. Others say the logitech 2100t would work great also. but if you're on a budget get the g401b from xmseller for $36 plus shipping. If you want the best gyro that would be the Spartan 760.
You need a really good gyro to get this flying well. IMO
as you can see there's not much room.

Yea I will probably end up getting the G401B and then the hitec servo. I like hitec servos usually so it should be a good choice. Yea there is not much room on this thing that is for sure. I will get some pics of my heli and post them up if you would like.
