Alright sweet. I will get some pics up later. And also maybe a video of it flying. This little guy is very zippy to fly. Can't wait to get my parts for it. I may try a flip or roll sometime in the near future. As long as my tail stays where I want it, it should flip quite nicely .

Apart from the bling, bro.... You actually balanced the blades!!! Good on you, Noob! Man, I'm telling you, Align CF blades take some work.

Well here is my piece . I got it for 150 bucks minus the reciever. I have 3 batteries for it at the moment. I got loads of landing gear, tail belt, main gears, tail parts, i am getting some more blades from the guy, and a bunch more parts.

Just got done flying under the streetlight. I love this thing more and more after more flights. I get 8 minutes of mild forward flight with the thunderpower 910's. And I have a 1000 that i managed to fit under the canopy that will last even longer. I love it. I only get about 6-7 with my 450. However I do have a scorpion on that with 3s lipos [X(].

Looks good Fuse.  where is all the wires coming from?   If you dont mind my critique you should clean your wiring.  Please please dont take that the wrong way.  lol.  what gyro is on it now?

I just flew my blinged out rexy250 just earlier.   Man I love those carbon blades,  feels much more responsive.  did a bunch of front flips and back flips.

Fuse I see you have the DX7....NICE!   what's your swash percentage on the elevator and aileron?  mine is currenty at 52%,52,50
I could probably increase this a little more for a faster roll and flip rate.

The wires are a little messy due to three 6 inch extensions that are on it going from the gyro to the reciever. I am using a CSM gyro. It is very smooth but like I said, just not right for a 250. I will check the percentages when I get home and post them up.
No big deal about the wiring . I am going to get some 3 inch extensions. A lot of those wires will dissappear. Like I said. I bought this heli used from a guy so this is better than it was. You should have seen his birds nest [sm=stupid.gif]

that sounds weird. never had that happen to me before. Is both the receiver and transmitter new? make sure you bind the receiver to the transmitter on a new model. 1. pick a new model with all setting at factory default.2. selecthelicopter model type3. set the swash type to 3 servos 120 ccpm. 4. plug the servos into the apprioate slots on the receiver. plug bind plug into batt slot on receiver, then bind.

Make sure you are in helicopter mode. Make sure you plug the heli in first. Also unplug on of your motor wires when you are messing with it like this.

Also make sure your esc is set right.

theasp,  if you're new to flying helicopters your trex 250 could be an expensive pile of rubble.  I suggest you start off with an inexpensive trex clone 450 as a crash test dummy.   the trex250 is alot more difficult to learn to fly.   Practice on simulator if you dont already have one, get one and it will save you money.

have you watched finless bob videos on the 250 build?

I didnt understand your last post about whats happening.

You must setup the esc to see your low and high throttle.  turn on transmitter, put the throttle stick to the high position, plug in your battery.  wait for the tone.  then throttle stick to low. and wait for tone again.  at this point it should go into the esc's programming. just following the recommend settings on the rest of the settings.    make sure you have a linear throttle curve set when setting up low and high throttle stick (0.25.50.75,100).  is this your first time setting up a helicopter?   if so,  ask your local hobby store or other local experienced pilots to give you pointers.

Is it possible the Throttle channel needs to be reversed? Make sure throttle is plugged into the throttle channel on the receiver, not the power channel.

haha this post makes me think. Make sure you have the wires plugged in the right direction also. Look on the side of the receiver. There is a little diagram on there. You will see positive and negative. Make sure the black wires on your plugs are towards that direction. Although it is probably not this because you said you have it working now.

Cheers Guys

My other Helis are Belt Cp's with stock Tx's - so this is the first time i have had a programmable Tx so it is an interesting learning curve Ha[8D]

The ESC on the 250 will not arm and sounds an alarm if it detects anything other than zero according to the manual

When i switched from normal to throttle hold (throttle stick at Min) the heli motor spooled upto a head speed of 100 rpm ?

So althogh the thottle was minimum it evidently was sending a signal out

I also had not set the throttle trim tabto min on the new DX6I as on my belt Tx's

A guy at the local flying club said if he did not have the trim at minimum then his 450 ESC will not arm and no motor speed

So i will move the trim down and try again

Any help and comments Much Appreciated

Allan
