DLE 55 For Speed not 3D
Im on a quest to make my 30cc GeeBee real fast.
SO I had a 18X14 wood zinger pro laying around.
On the DLE 30cc it only did 5800rpm
But on the big DLE 55 it hits 7500rpm like its nothing! and Still has a nice low idel
The spec's show this as max rpm, I don't know if its HP or timeing of the motor thats keeping it at this RPM but it sweet!
This Combo has a prop speed of 100mph
So with slip and drag depending,Im thinking it will take my bird in the 75 to 80 mph range.

RE: DLE 55 For Speed not 3D
For those whith DLE 55's that want some speed.
I broke my nice 18X14 prop on a dead stick landing.
So I ordered a New 18X(8-14) prop and picked up 500 RPM's!!!!!!!!
My top speed is up about 9mph and it seems to have more low end grunt.
So Im at 8,000 rpm on the ground with this 18X(8-14) prop with stock muffler. Thats 106mph prop speed, with out slip and drag.
