The engine you have is one of Webra's best! It is a short stroke Pattern type engine; the 11x7 at 14,200 sounds as if you are close to max rpm for that prop with that engine, especially with sero nitro fuel. How is the idle and transition? Have you made any adjustments to the length of the exhaust system?

The 11x7 prop is going to be better than the 12x6 for your Curare.

pipe is webra and just for this engine, lenght is 375mm. (picture how imeasured it.)
with 12x6 prop it needs almost full throttle when pipe come on,with 11x7 power band is longer (ihope that you understand my bad english)
its maybe possible shorten pipe a little if want maximum performance?
with os a8 plug and 10% nitro it sounds that ignition is too early and without nitro sound is better, this engine maybe very high compression?
engine idles good and transition too, it sound very strong with full throttle and my test stand almoust overturn, rear legs are almost in the air.

If idle and transition are good with zero nitro and you are getting 14,200 at top end, I would say you should be very happy This is a high compression engine and probably would need to be de-compressed (head shim) to run 10% nitro.

If the 11x7 works good on the ground then a normal pattern plane would like a 11x8.

Hello särpet
Just because this is a short stroke engine doesn't mean you can not try higher pitch prop. I have mine turning a APC 11x9 at 13600 with 8% nitro and 20% oil.

Ya that's pretty good. I would say anything over 13k is good with a 11x9. Did you add any length to your header to see if it might get a little higher. I was using a Macs Pro which is pretty long.
