The side exhaust is actually a little more flow friendly than the rear exhaust configuration generally, but Dub says the rear exhaust and side exhaust engines run the same. The LX engines are timed higher than the standard engines and come with the gold muffler standard. A tuned pipe can be added and Dub tunes the pipe to your specs. He sent my 56LX with the header 1/2" longer than "peak" length so when the engine is broke in and running good and not blowing plugs, he instructed to cut 1/2" off the header and go play. I have a standard .35 as well and it will not turn the advertised ground rpm published on Dub's site even after a couple gallons of fuel. I suspect the elevation/climate I am in has a lot to do with it. It's down about 700-1000rpm at peak from where it should be. I concur with airraptor on the bearings. Keep an eye on them in the .35.

Thanks for the info on Jett BSE .35, I asked Dub do the break-in for me and check the engine after break-in.

All Jett engines are test-run at the factory. Why ask him to do the full bench break-in? You're not learning how the engine runs or how to handle it (needle settings, fuel tank setup) by having him do so.

I don't want to spend time on break-in the engine, it bother my neighbor I had experienced with nitro engine so tuning is not a problem. Thanks for the input, I will keep my eyes on Jett engine.

speed was running a Rossi 61 with a pipe. I think it turned a 11x11 prop at 14,000 or so.
