RE: Brison 2.4 tach numbers
Geist: what could be wrong. i live in the pacific where it is very hot and humid. maybe about 300feet elevation where i fly. could this be causing me to get only 6700rpm or is it just because the engine is new and not really run in yet.

RE: Brison 2.4 tach numbers
I just bought used Patty Wagstaff with a Brison 2.4 on it. It has a 22x10 prop on it. Brisons website says 20 inch prop for this engine. Should I change this prop? Also, what would be the difference in a 20x8 verses a 20x10?
Thanks for any replies.

Sorry Guys, I missed this response and finally saw it.
A couple of things can be done. I assume you have a mechanical advance.
On 95 octane, try advancing the ignition pick-up ring by screwing the ball coupler in/out (which way I can't remember)
This will make it harder to start but give you more power up to a point.
