ASP vs OS 1.20 tachometer readings
I've just been right through all 18 pages of tachometer readings and can only find a couple of references to 1.20 four stroke engines which I find amazing as they're a very popular engine size.
Anyway for those who are interested (which I guess isn't that many) here are the results from the UK jury:
Both engines were tested at sea-level 15 deg C within 5 minutes of each other.
Both engines are fully run-in and are used regularly.
Fuel used 10% synth
Props 15 x 8 MAS
ASP 1.20 FS - 8,500
OS 1.20 FS Pump - 8,600
For a saving of £130 over the OS I'll take the ASP and keep the change!! The ASP's have had some bad press in the past but I've had this one for 18 months now and its a great little motor.
BTW the ASP starts easier too!!
Just wanted to share this with you guys.
Cheers
Pete

RE: ASP vs OS 1.20 tachometer readings
I love my ASP FS120. Superb engine. Starting is an absolute breeze. Mine is still quite new, so I think the best is yet to come after a few more hours running. Good, value for money. BTW I think the 2 strokes are pretty good too.
