Bone stock Tower Hobbies .46 Pro BB ABC, TH muffler, never run until today, sat in a garage for 2 years; bought at garage sale.

Elevation: 4900 feet ASL
Fuel: 15% generic hobby-store stuff, no extra castor
Prop: 10x6 MA (recommended break-in prop)
Temperature: 80 degrees

First tank of fuel: 13,800 RPM, idle @ 3200RPM
Fourth tank of fuel: 14,600 RPM, idle @ 2500RPM

Has trouble maintaining RPM well in steep climbs (on the bench, haven't flown her yet). Starts to stutter on idle down around 2200RPM. I'm very impressed by how well this motor runs compared to my buddy's Magnum .52. Idle is solid, transition from full to idle is immediate, transition from idle to full has a short delay and stutter. Not bad for a $40 motor left in a bag in a basement; need to work out that drop-off issue.

I have a very knowable friend who races with this engine and couldn't figure out your same issue. got a new gasket/seal set from Tower (just a few bucks) and also put hi-temp gasket sealer on the muffler and nipple connection, fuel tube on the needle valve - problem solved as it was an air leak that was dragging it down. runs crazy fast on a 10x6 APC like in the high 13's for sure on 15% stock power master fuel...

Best of luck
