I'm breaking in a new piston/liner and got 10200 on a wooden 11x6 during first tank. Am I on the right track?
Tnx - LeeH

RE: OS 46 LA
Lee, I will be breaking in a new LA .46 today in preparation to convert it to Diesel operation on a Hangar 9 Duel ACE. I'll be using Fox 5% nitro fuel with 20% castor and an 11x5 Bolly prop. What brand 11x6 did you use and I'll try to duplicate? Thanks

RE: OS 46 LA
Lee, I broke it in by the book
Recommended prop 11x6, prop used Bolly 11.5x5, close enough
Fuel Fox 5% nitro 20% castor
Plug==Glow Devil standard long
Started at full throttle per recommendation in book
Peaked to max 10,220, richened 180 degrees per book
Peaked again after 15 minutes==rpm 10,670, richened 90 degrees
Third peak after 35 minutes total time and near end of 16 oz tank==10,890

RE: OS 46 LA
I tached my LA .46 recently with a Master Airscrew 11X6 2 blade. it is a well broken in engine. With 10% Omega and an OS #8 plug I got 11,300. It is actually one of my weaker engines. []
