mvvs 49 with tuned muffler
Today I tached my 49 running 5% nitro 15% synth oil and APC 12-4. All leaned out it produced 14200 rpm which is 200 more than last time I tached it, I guess it is fully broke in now after about 3 gallons. I`m very impressed with this number and it actually passes my tuned ASP 52 XLS, if only barely

RE: mvvs 49 with tuned muffler
I just broke my MVVS 49 with Genesis Throttle Pipe in this weekend. The prop is an APC 12.25x3.75 and whilst I didn't get any figures the spool up was quite sluggish (to be expected I s'pose!) Fuel is ProSynth 5% but it's only had 1/4 gallon through so far.
Has anyone got any tacho numbers on this prop?

Hi, I get 13600 rpm at peak on that prop on my 49. The slow spool up on that heavy prop is the reason why I went to the APC 12-4 instead as it spools up much quicker.
Also make sure you have leaned out the low end needle enough, otherwise the transition will be very sluggish no matter what

Your engine will develop more rpm`s and power after it has been running for a couple of gallons. Mine has become stronger and stronger the more I run it.
By the way, it would be really interesting to hear what rpm`s you get on the 12.25-3.75 using that Genesis throttle pipe, when and if you have some tach readings
