ST GS40 Tach Reading
My Super Tiger GS40 with a stock muffler, using 10% nitro and 18% syn, and swinging a 10/6 APC, tachs at 12,500 RPM and pulls my Sig Somethin Extra out of sight. This is a great engine for the price. Altitude is 700 feet and temp was about 50 deg f.

12,500 is nothing!!!!
I know a guy in Southern Ohio that takes a GS 40 with a regular stock muffler, not teh quiet or Econo. He takes them and cleans them up inside and can get OVER 18,500 on a APC 9x6!!!! Seen it with my own 4 eyes(at the time!!) Tached with a TNC Tach on 15% PowerMaster fuel. 18,500 is where I launched him at.

ST GS40 Tach Reading
My new ST GS40 with the quiet pipe turned 13,900 with an APC 10x6 on 15% Cool Power, which I think is 18% synthetic oil. It peaked at 14,200-14,300 then backed the needle out a couple clicks.
