Wow!! If you try it with a higher prop load please let us know. Is this an engine that is only happy when its screaming, or can you load it up? I'd be curious how it handled an 8x5.
Thanks for the report.

RE: Magnum .15 XLS
Just for reference, I'm getting 14,000 on my FP .15 with an unbaffled muffler running an APC 8x4 on Omega 15%. If you get a chance, please try the APC 8x4, I'd love to know what you get. I've been thinking about getting one of the xls .15s.

RE: Magnum .15 XLS
Actually i've heard the XLS doesn't mind a higher pitched prop, i will try it next time i go to the shop but my XL would turn an APC 8x4 at 15000 on 10% omega and a A3 plug, the XLS is stronger than the XL so i will see, i have lots of 8x4's at the shop.
I wanted the 8x3 to get the most thrust and speed wasn't an issue as this engine was for my combat delta found in post #3 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6960015/tm.htm

RE: Magnum .15 XLS
Well i tried an APC 8x4 and it was 15000rpm on 10% omega, my friend broke his last 8x3 prop and subbed in a MA 8x5, on the ground got 13700rpm on 10% omega but in the air it was faster than my screaming MA 8x3 and the engine didn't seem to mind the extra load and was much quieter in the air.
