G-62 Readings
APC 22x10 7400rpm
APC 24x8 7100rpm
Menz S 24x10 5800rpm
Menz S 26x8 5400rpm
Idle with Menz S 26x8 about 1300-1500rpm
All readings taken with Toni Clark rear mounted "piper" silencer, 50:1 Stihl mix and at sealevel.
The readings with the APC props were taken on another time with another tach, and at a higher temp.
As soon as I can get my hands on a spring scale I will post thrust numbers.
The engine is mounted on a glider tug and I guess that my new favourite prop is the 26x8 Menz, although I have not yet tried to tow with it. The thrust with this prop seem MUCH higher than the 24x8 APC that I normally use.

RE: G-62 Readings
Hi...
I dont own a digital camera (or any camera at all....) but I will see if I can borrow one, and snap a few pictures for you.
I have not flown with this belt drive as it had too much vibration, which was caused by the prop axle not tracking well enough. But it did prove that the basic idea was OK.
On my next drive I will probably be using four 5M vee-belts instead of the single polyV belt. That will be easier for me to make. I also plan on using a 4:1 reduction instead, which hopefully will drive a 33,6x37 fourblader at about 2K.
