Wow, these really don't add up. The 10.5x6 should load it more than the 11x4, and how can it turn over 1000 rpm more on a 12x4 than on an 11x4 of the same brand?

From what I've seen elsewhere, the 11x4 figures sounds low and the 12x4 figure sounds high. The result for the Bolly sound typical.

the standard fuel is 15% that every one normally runs but the saito's really are a different engine when ran on 25-35% nitro. i usally get 1,000-1300 more rpm doing this. going from 35% to 45% only gets another 300-400.

Yes, I thought that was an excellent gain from the nitro increase. Jim

From my experience, running fuels such a 30 Heli mixes really turns on the Saitos and doesn't seem to hurt them as long as you run the mixture correctly.

the mixture i have seen is only slightly more sensative on the needle. also WY8 running the heli fuel it has more oil in it so you will be down some on power compaired to 30% on 18% oil. i have been running 15% oil lately on my kinda like testing to see how it works. It is sold as a 4 stroke fuel in 15% and i did notice 200 rpm over the 18% oil stuff.

I am looking at increasing the compression just a little on the saitos to see if i can get the same power as the 35% but on 15%.

Not sure the oil % difference actually made any difference in the power. You set the mixture to balance the oxygen with the combustibles; I don't think the oil comes into it. I would expect more oil to effectively increase compression a bit, because it would reduce the volume inside the combustion chamber by taking up space. With more oil I would expect higher fuel consumption, not less power.

try it your self and see.[X(]

I will slow it down more oil film in the engine, more for the engine to pump, it doesnt brun and so on. Heli fuel runs high oil to help the engines stay cool and lubed for thier run times. When they upped the oil content they lost power so to get it back had to up the nitro.

get one bottle of 30% nitro with 18% oil run it then drain the tank then put in 30% nitro and run the higher oil content. Do this fairly and see the results your self.

Cool Power 30 heli used to be 22% synthetic but now they say it is 20% synthetic

I've never tried 30% in my saitos. but everyone agrees it rocks. Maybe one day I'll see what the fuss is about. But they just run so damn nice on 15%....I've never had a reason to try anything else....

If you are happy with 15% just hang with it

yes they do run great on 15% but once you try 30% or higher they still run the same but they are a whole new engine. If you do try dont even keep the same prop on though. need to keep same pitch and move up one prop size or move up 2 in pitch.

My 125 on 35% will spin an APC 13x11 full blade prop at 11,200-11,300 almost the same as my OS 120AX with muffler.
