TTX650 and LiFe Battery

Is it safe to power my TTX650 with 2 cell LiFe Battery?

Per the instructions, you can use 4 dry cells or 4-cell NiCd or NiMH battery packs. Nothing is said about Lithium battery packs. Apparenlty, 6.0 V is the maximum allowed.
