LF: Turnigy 9X Pro Gimbals

Hey guys I am looking for some Gimbals for my above mentioned transmitter.

I'd be glad to take a parts one (I do not need batteries nor modules).

I would prefer not to have to modify the mounting arrangement and have something relatively plug and play hence asking for actual 9X Pro gimbals...

Located in Ontario, Canada, so please remember when letting me know about costs, etc...

Reason: Wanting to enable centering on the 2nd joystick for tanking...

You can grab the lever's from rctanksaustralia.

I wasn't sure if the centering lever worked between the 9X and the 9XR Pro...

Sorry I meant 9XR Pro in the thread title.. I emailed them about compatibility..

Was looking around on their forums when I came across:

The RCTA webstore does not sell levers for the 9XR Pro. Only levers for the 9X.

The 9X lever does not work for the 9XR Pro
That was posted as of December 2016...

I bought the whole gimbal from hobbyking. I use mode 2 so I guess get the one opposite the mode you are using.

I found my old hobbyking order, this is the SKU 9171000250 for the

left gimbal set for a mode 1 9xpro. It cost $4.29 + 4.00 shipping to Seattle WA grom HongKong. Hope this helps.

I just checked on those and it says "out of stock". Bummer.

If it was me, I'd email Kevin at RCTA and see what he says.

I have and he has a design for the Pro's. I ordered 2 pcs. But will need to likely cannibalize a HL controller for springs. Just awaiting the package.

Hobbyking says that the Gimbal's are no longer available, yet they are the #1 failed part of the Pro. No replacements unless you count the $45 3-axis gimbal. Plus the price jumped up from $70 in September to $100 apiece for the Turingy radio itself.

Got the levers from RCTA. Thanks to Kevin for the great communication!
Now to get the time to install them and butcher a HL Radio for some springs...

TheBennyB 04-20-2017 08:11 AM

If you don want to get into butchering a TX you can grab a bag of various "hobby size" springs from Micro Mark. I dig into this bag all the time for various projects.

I wonder if you could use the spring from an old airsoft unit? I have a ton of those, so maybe I should investigate that. They might be a bi too strong.
