MGT 8.0 brake upgrade?
Hey forum,
I'mgettin frustrated withmy slow to stop (putting it mildly) truck. I have replaced the brake pads and disk, tried adjusting it and it just seems slow to stop, and when I drive it in the snow or thru a puddle and the pads get damp at all it really doesn't stop. I have had many other nitro trucks including the tmax I still have, savage 2.5, revo 3.3... and they would all lock up the tires but the mgt hasn't from day 1. any sugestions?

i have seen some use the after market brake set up(steel disc, steel backed fiber pads),but then hear complaining of the fiber slipping off the steel pads.
i would use a short length of fuel tubing instead of the spring on the linkage that pulls the brake lever.
it puts a little more power in your stops.
as far as water, i don't know what would help that.
a higher torque servo may be needed

Have you one the fuel tubing trick?
This has worked WONDERS on all of my vehicles that had sloppy linkages. Including my MGT. Brakes grip like crazy now, even wet.
