RE: mgt hpi k5.6 questions
What ever engine you decide on, if it does cause tranny issues you can alway deal with that when or if it happens! IMO i don't beleive you will get that much more prower or speed out of the K5.9, as you will from either the LRP .28 or Picco .28. Just do your research and don't rush into a decission you will later regret! Keep the thread updated with your decission!

RE: mgt hpi k5.6 questions
Lrp.32 has good low-mid you can later upgrade the pipe for more top end speed. The power to weight ratio is not bad, based on my friends truck.
I still haven't gotten around to installing mine, its cold and snowy at the moment . Got a jp4 pipe for that.
The only thing stopping me from buying the 8.0block and dropping it in the XL is that new Octane 15cc engine.
I'm done with nitro after this, time for the big boys.

Do not buy a k5.9 hpi motor,
They have little power for the size and a decent 28 will outperform it,
I'd recommend an Lrp30 ran one in my mta4, which is the same truck as the mgt,
Excellent motor for the money.

I would love to have a lrp but the price is a little to much for me. What's the price for your motor and do you have any videos if so I would like to see it run

I don't have any vids of it running in my mta4,
But here's a vid of it when I had it in my savage x,

That's the Lrp 30 motor,
I think the mgt 4.6 transmission will hold up to and Lrp 30,
If its not broken don't fix it.
