They also make a set for the Tmaxx, so those should fit the MGT...

but.... I think you'll run into the same problem as trying to run Dace adapters with 4.6 axles, not enough space and binding.. I could be wrong though..

edit... I was posting during your edit...[&:]

its so dam annoying, nothin frieking fits the dam 4.6 axles. I want 17mm hexes and i want them wheels, but i got no dam way to fit the stupid things, this is the most thing i am annoyed with the MGT, why the hell would they change something that works fine to bl00dy start with. I feel like strangling the guy who said, hey lets change the axle pin location, DUM *****

well guys there are a few threads longer than this. the duratrax evader had 2 versions that are over 200 pages each.

yes offset wheels are the way to go. they are much more stable and they look better than the stockers.

Ok guy’s, why doesn’t the MGT have its on Drop down. There are over 250 single threads just in this RC Monster Trucks category. I don’t get it? What do we need to do to get recognized?

Yes it works. The tank had duel pick-up lines. 1 in the bottom 1 in the top. I flipped mine once about 100 yards away from me and it continued to run fine. Just dont drive your truck 100 yards away from yourself ......thats a long ways for an old outta shape guy like me to run......er...jog

I got the robo brake disk for my MGT. Since my transmission was taken apart and put back together, I had to redo the two screws that hold the brake pad and metal plates to it. Here's the tricky part: I'm trying to find the right adjustment with those screws. I don't remember how they were set from the factory out of the box.

I replaced the spring on the brake linkage with fuel tubing of the same length. I have the two screws set so when it's in idle, the brake disc is free. On throttle, it's more free. When the brake is applied, the brake pad is squeezed, but the truck isn't stopping as well as it did when I first got it. I'm trying to get it so the brake pad is free and won't rub and glaze over, but will stop quickly when needed.

The LHS guy said that it should be set so the metal plates are really close to the brake pad, so that I can slip in a business card. Not sure if he meant one card, or one on each side of the brake pad. Is that how close I should tighten the screws?

Will battery power on the receiver affect this too? My hump pack needs to be recharged. I tried AA batteries, and I think I can see how they're not as strong as the battery pack.

Ewanni- make for sure both screws are set the same length out, if there not even it will adversely effect the breaking. And the pad should be about 1mm from the disc when the radio is at neutral.

I like to have my truck have a little brakage at an idle, so if I lose control, it will still come to a stop. Screw it in a little and that should help. Also, yeah, keep em even, I learned that after hours of messing around too.

Cool, then this is normal maintenence then. I charged up the hump pack, works stronger. I'll adjust the screws a bit and try it tomorrow.

Endo as in flip forward?

I have the metal plates I think a tad bit loose, especially on full throttle. But it's okay because I can adjust the Lo ATV dial on the transmitter. The linkages are set exactly as seen in the instruction manual, the spring on the brake linkage replaced by fuel tubing of the same length. I may tighten the screws on the brake plates a tad bit, making sure they're equal, if I need to. I think this will go just fine. [8D]

Exactly ! The first time I ran my truck after I put the Robo disk on it did a COMPLETE forward flip at about 15-20 mph ! I thought I had hit something in the road at first !

Wow, I'll have to be careful then. I have it set on robo disk and replaced the spring with fuel tubing. I ran it a little but still didn't have the screws in enough. I adjusted it and I also have the Lo ATV dial on the transmitter to adjust if needed. I'll definitely be careful when I try it out today.

Yeah something like that..... But instead of it being half and half it would be more only the front third of the truck true blue and the back third true white.... the middle is is where the blue would be tearing away fading into the white.
