ok, well today i tried my first hand at engine modding, tried it on my AE15 which is basically like new[X(] so hopefully it dont go BOOM.

Anyway, i radiused the bottom edge of the sleeve, ported the boost port and ported the other ports to not looking for much, hopefully i get a slight increase in power, if not no worries, if it buggers up, well then im stuck without a motor for the NTC3[&o]

Hey if any of you are having trouble with your stock shock caps you might want to try this before upgrading to aluminum ones. I drilled a small hole thorugh the fake piggy back things and used a small zip tie to tighten the cap. I beat on this thing for 3 hours today and it held perfect. Not sure if it will be a long term fix though.

Hey guys! I have a question on the center transmission; the little cap keeps popping off and the fluid sprays all over when I run it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? What can I do to remedy this?

SFC K, there's no fluid in the tranny.. (or at least there shouldn't be [sm=50_50.gif])... and if you're talking about the 2spd adjustment hole plug thingy, you can just use a piece of black tape to hold that on.

Well their is fluid in there but not alot. Enough though too make a mess. I will try that. But should I be concerned that what was in there is now gone and should I replace it? Yes it it is the hole that you adjust the 2 speed tranny. The plug just won't stay in...

Had all the trucks out running today..

Huge air, many screwed landings, lots of pinwheeling, endover and barrel rolls, close calls with trees and light poles.

I even managed to stick the landing on a backflip while driving the warhead.

As usual, both MGT's performed well with no breakage.

Tmaxx - broken body mount
Emaxx - broken lower control arm
MGT #1 - no damage
MGT #2 - no damage
Warhead - no damage

I did finally recieve all of my NOVA R/C parts.
Pretty killer lookin stuff. I hope it fits as good as it looks.

I had a ball playing with my kids today.
I hope everyone else enjoyed the day.

Evader showed me this trick to keep the cap from coming off and what you do is take the smallest allen wrench and make a small hole in the cap, then screw in a set screw to were its flush with the cap and its works great for me.

Hey scotty, Remeber a while back iwas asking about the power strokes. I cant remember, but did you say they needed an adapter to make them fit. I found a good deal on some.

I know I'm not scotty, but I can answer! They don't need anything to fit, you can use the stock upper mounting bolt, I am. You'll need to grind a hair off the shock tower so they don't rub though.. it's not totally necessary (they don't rub too bad), but it bugged me anyway...

the mgt board is goig strong i see. my mgt has been resting for the past 2 months, still have to order the aluminum 17mm hexes for it. but lately i've been driving the rc18mt on the track at my job, so that's been getting a lot of wheel time. also i have the thunder tiger st-1 now, so that's been getting some attention. i'm itching to get the ol' mgt back out and rippin it up again.

LOL listen to this.

I was doing some standard jumping, about a 3.5 foot ramp, amd then notice my wheels are leaving water marks everwhere. bring the truck over and theres nitro EVERYWHERE. about a quarter of the bottom of the fuel tank CRACKED off, so i guess i found the problem to my engine troubles? But the thing is, this was spontaneous, i had absolutely no warning, other than a little leaking, but i thought it was just from when i spilled from the bottle [:-] Will AE cover this? this is the gayest Sh#t ever. just got it fixed and running again.... but i had an old nexstar select plane tank layin around, so I taped that on Seems to be workin so far..

Thumbs up for creativity LOL

Look at how dirty it left it [&o]

Not sure if they'll cover it or not, wouldn't hurt to try though.... just don't tell 'em about the shape your cooling head and roll bar are in, that might hurt your chances

A better question would be: Would my stock LST2 be able to keep up with a LRP powered MGT? - no

There's no comparison between the LRP and the stock engine. The LRP has a lot more power everywhere. When geared properly it shouldn't have any problem beating a stock LST2 in a drag race. I run mine with an 18 tooth clutch bell and the 54 tooth robinson racing spur gear. It can easily pull a 19 or 20 tooth clutch bell with the LRP in it. A good tuned pipe will help too. I'm running the LST2 HT pipe.

LOL , thats funny redfox , I have been doing the same thing (running my RC18MT) ! I recently put in an 11.1 volt LiPo battery from my R/C airplane and this thing is just INSANE ! Its gotta be hitting in the low 50 mph range , and it will lift the front end going full speed . Its really too much power for the dirt , but on road its a blast .

Needless to say I have ordered a 11.1 volt 1500 Mah LiPo and a 7.4 volt 2200 Mah (supposedly it will give me 20+ minute runtimes) for my RC18 .

My MGT has been cleaned and shelved for now , nothing wrong with it , just giving it a rest .
