What did u do to bend it properly? Just heat it up and carefully bend so it doesnt crinkle? Any issues with the starting shaft rubbing up against the exhaust coupler?
You can either bake or boil it to heat up and then Very carefully bend it to shape. Put it on the truck fisrt so you get an idea of where/how to bend to fit right. Throw a pm to bria1 and ask him, have him post a pic too. His is perfect and smooth. Whatever you do, dont crease/crinkle it, cuz then it's done for. Good luck.

Here is a pic of mine without a mud guard. bent to fit and use the roto start. the LST2 header stock blocks the roto. So I had to bend it to this. I wasnt real confident with my bending skills so left it this way because I didnt want to ruin it.
Why didnt you just take the mud guard off.
And Elite there is no issues with the shaft rubbing against the cuppler.

Snauty, Im still running stock tires on RPM 14 mm rims. But I should have a new set of 8.0 tires/wheels and hex's here in 2 days. I like big tall tires, The new tread looks pretty good too.. Well see how they do. I just odered a BUKU pipe yesterday, so that should be here soon. My basically stock MGT is getting some upgrades finally. I just ran 2 tanks today of a new crank and sleeve I modded for the stock .28. I was shocked. There is alot more fire in the engine now. Hope to get a video soon.

Pro-Line does in their Wabash wheel. Products, Monster Truck, Wheels, Upper right corner.
http://www.prolineracing.com/proline.html

I'm running the 40's w/ Big Joes on 14mm hexes and haven't had any problems. I use blue threadlock on the wheel nuts is all. You can see a pic of my truck in my gallery.

duckedup,
I really like the Firehammer MT. It's a great truck for bashing around with. I entered it in one of our Monster Bash events last summer and placed third with it (I took second with my Emaxx!) against a field of run whatcha brung monster trucks of all scales. My favorite events were the truck pull (which it dominated!) and the long jump competition. Watching that much truck fly 6ft in the air for 25ft was really cool. We did it over and over again. My son (age 7) drives it more than I do since I got the 5b. The only problem I've had with it are steering knuckles. Otherwise it's a really solid truck.

It's probably a rich LSN setting. Lean it out a bit and try it out again.

I see a lot of people putting wings on their mgts and MTs in general. Is there an actual benefit to this..or is it really just to pull off that truggy look?

I put mine on for protection and the look!!!

But my design broke several times, but I still thing it was extremely durable after landing upside down over 15 times without breaking! And to fix it all you need is a shock tower!
