compression testing
Just bought an 8.0 and wondering what the compression should be.
After a five tank break in I took my truck to the LHS and had it professionally tuned. I returned home and cleaned it up and performed after run maintenance. I decided to get a base line compression reading at that time which was 140 psi, cold, with a few drops of after run oil in the cylinder. A few outings later and 15 -20 tanks of fuel, same procedure, it only tested 100 psi..........
Anybody know the specs? I would like to hear from some of u guys about this. Please give me an idea what your 8.0 runs and the approximate age/condition of your engine.
Thanks
