This is a really exciting project. Joseph has the lead in the building, I'm assisting where needed. The plane flies great- best plane Joseph has owned to date. However, we have to get it lighter by at least 10 grams and go with a bigger prop so we can eliminate the drag brakes. its a big airplane and I'm going to plan to build a variant which is smaller and lighter to fly in a more confined space. Joseph's thinking is that Poland will have a very large flying space and therefore a larger plane will have an advantage. He is very much in the R&D phase with Nathan, his friend. One product I'd like to highlight is a speed controller which is less than one gram (sold at Mike Mueller's company, F3A Unlimited). that will take about 2 grams off right there. Prop, motor (eflite 250) and servos of course are all opportunities to lose weight. We are using a Thunder Power 250 battery which has so much power we can fly the sequence about 3 times. Lighter it is, the slower and easier it is to fly.
Will try and post some more over the weekend/holidays either here or GS Network.

First practice session.
70 grams without battery. We tried the 9 inch prop and will try a 10 and maybe 11 inch prop.

Actually I guess its about 67 grams now with that carbon fiber prop over the GWS. This puts it at around 79 grams ready to fly. Joseph designed the fuselage LARGE for extra lift in rolls and knife edge. It appears to be performing well. I've been getting in some practice as well. Servos Spektrum 2020 aileron, Spektrum 2010 for rudder and elevator. Eflight 250 motor and Castle 6 speed controller.

Had an old Eflite 250 motor that had broken a wire internal to the motor. Took it apart to see how much weight could be taken out. After a couple of hours of machining I got about a half gram off of the motor. My complements to the designer of this motor as it is very light stock at about 13 grams. This machining brought it down to about 12.4 grams. Definitely not worth the half gram of effort as there are so many other places to take weight off. We'll be moving to a 10 inch prop. The stock 250 turns the 9x2.8 with authority. In fact we have the Throttle Curve set down about 50 percent. The motor is cool after each flight.

Greetings,
Its pure luck I came across this thread. I tell you that because I'm an avid reader of the electric pattern forum and think you need more publicity in the pattern forums and K-Factor.
Just my 2 cents.
Best of everything in Poland, I look forward to you bringing home the gold.
