Default Radio Setup questions

Hello!
I have some questions about radio setups, that I would like you could help me. I'm building a CAmodel Extra 300L 31% ARC, and this is my first GIant Airplane. I'm going to compete in F3M (called IMAC in USA) which have known/unknown patterns and freestyle flight, so I would like to know how I should setup it.

I have some doubts:

how do you setup your Extra for a competition like TAS or Don Lowe Masters (with Known, Unkown and freestyle routines)? . Do you have one model memory for fly known and unknown patterns with your Extra, and another model memory for fly the Freestyle?

Thanks for all your help

and good flights!

Default RE: Radio Setup questions

My set up is very simple. I use triple rates on my JR 10X. I use low rates for sequence flying, with high rate for snaps, spins and hammer heads; then I use the third rate for 3D flying. Use good control linkages (ball links) and aluminum "3D" arms (1 1/2 inch long).

Best of luck with your setup!

If you scan the 3D section of RCU, and search for FiberClassics Extra 330 40%, I have a complete writeup on my setup which may also be helpful.

Don, do you have the rates assigned to different switches of only one switch with three positions for sequence flying, a high rate for snaps, spins and hammer heads and the third rate for 3D flying?

Thanks

Single switch. That way its easiest to just turn that switch from low, to medium to high.

I did actually have 4 rates set up at one point, low (normal flying) rate, high rate for snaps and spins, third rate for rolling circles and a fourth rate for 3D.

That is with the 10X. THe upper right switch.
