Default pattern plane choice....

Hey Don,

We met and talked a few time at DA and what not, we spent a bit of time talking about patten vs IMAC and im thinking that pattern might smoothen me out. What plane would you recomend to start out with? Il probably start in advanced. Good to meet you and I might make the Pattern NATS along with the IMAC NATS. Let me know what a good middle of the road setup is. Hope our paths cross again some day.

John

Pattern is a lot of fun while it helps force precision, so it can help you with your flying skills. I'm flying a Brio right now and like the way it flies through the FAI sequences and unknowns. There are also a lot of other designs out there so you have a lot to choose from. One avenue you may try is buying a used FOCUS pattern plane. These are fairly common aircraft and although not in production there are probably quite a few out there that you can get a hold of one. It a great flying plane- I won the NATS with this design. Its also very economical to acquire and operate and would be a good fit for Advanced.
