Default Pattern plane covering schemes

Hi Don!
I noticed on some of your pattern planes and some of Dave Lockharts planes you make the outboard 1/3rd or so of the wing a solid color. What is the purpose of that? Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. http://centralhobbies.com/gallery/shot-6.html
thanks Don - I talked to Dave M. tonight about all of us getting some flying in. Hopefully our schedules will agree with eachother soon! Lately I've been away from home alot.
talk to you soon
Jon

Jon, Yes, I discuss this in minute 46 of the instructional video which I published called precision aerobatics techniques. You want the judges to get a good sight picture, so both you and the judges can see wing level. The contrast does that. You will be flying pattern? Welcome!

Don
