RE: Magic VF3 building thread
I am very pleased with the performance of the Black Magic VF3 PHX (Phoenix). The airplane performed very well in both the P09 and F09, and performs well now starting P11 sequence. I am very pleased with the propellor and motor combination. The setup is YS 170 DZ with 18.1 x 12 propellor and 22 percent nitro, with 13 percent oil. I am very satisfied with the results that this plane had during the NATS in 2009. Thank you sponsors that include JR, YS, Custom Airframe Designs (Mike Hester) and B&E Graphics.
All the best,
Don

Yes that would be nice Don, perhaps Mike could include it on his CD supplied with each kit?
I take it you're building another VF3?
Cheers
Jason.

Pictures of fiberglassing around the nose. This is video segment number 40 of the building video. The video is nice for general viewing and many tips outside of just the VF3. Techniques used for other building or finishing of any model. Cheers, Don

New distributor for Black Magic VF3 Aircraft. For more information see Rick at www.midatlanticairframes.com
This design has done me well over the last 4 years. The fact that the Black Magic won first place during preliminaries and ended 2nd in two of the finals rounds is a tribute to the design as I heard some indicate that this design was only good through maybe Advanced or Masters. My Best to Rick and the Black Magic design.
