I'm flying Advanced IMAC, this years sequence has a 45 degree upline inverted, with a positive snap. I'm flying a 35% Extra 260, right now during practice I can't seen to complete the snap without being 30-40 degrees off pitch, I seem to finish the snap and end up level inverted.
Any suggestions?

Harry, I noticed this at the Clover Creek invitational unknowns and the word I got was its been put in to try and separate the pilots. My recommendation to IMAC is instead to adopt the TOC rules and put the 60 degree or even 45 degree box for the flight maneuvers back in, and center line the center maneuvers like in pattern to separate the pilots... but that is another topic. You do a positive snap on a 45 degree upline from inverted by first pulling (yanking) up elevator. It's not really a yank its just a bit of a jerk on the stick to break the nose from the path of flight. Then you just give full deflection ailerons and same direction rudder full simultaneously to bring it around. If you really get good at it you can ease the up elevator back in when you have rotated about 90 degrees and then get out of the elevator again when you are approaching the end of the rotation, but normally it happens so fast there is no time to do even that (unless you are flyig a foamy). When you break the plane with the elevator and snap this way, you will also find the snap speed increases. This cleans it up so you don't loose as much energy during the snap resulting in better overall geometry on the line after the snap. Planes will naturally snap positive attitude with no elevator input. I cover that in my IMAC instructional video. You just yank the nose at the start to show the judge the break.
