RE: New Hanger 9 Planes
Mike, with all the buzz on the Yak54, why doesn't H9 come out with a 33% Yak54? This would be more suited for a ZDZ80, GT80, or Zenoah62. All you have to choose from now is 50 size and 100 size or larger. QQ's is nice, but I don't want to go to 100cc engines to get
performance. I like the single ZDZ80 as it's light and strong. I believe there is a market for the 33% Yak54 right now

I agree with Rick9303......Working part-time at a hobby shop gives you a good idea of what people are looking for, and right now it seems to be the Extreme Flight Yak....

Mike,
True, but its really hard getting the Extreme Flight...and people like Hanger 9's quality, and would buy them......Plus people dont want to show up at the field with 10 of the same planes on the flight line!

Personally I think the aerobatic market in general is covered well. There just isn't much new out there. The Yak-54 is a nice design but like Mike said.. it's WELL covered by several manufacturers in various sizes. This is a discussion I've had with Mike more than once.. There is pretty much market saturation of all current aerobatic aircraft in nearly all the common sizes.

How about a 33% Technoavia or a 33% Vortec. The Technoavia is similar to the yak and the sukhoi, but isn't often modeled. The Vortec is also not often modeled, but since 3W has one on the market most people have heard of it.

Well you got me with the first one. I've never heard of it. Where can I see one? On the Votec (dont believe there is an "r" in the name),I've seen the 3W one a few times. It really doesnt do much for me. Kinda looks like a cross between a One Design and a P-51 IMO.

maybe even go 35% for 100cc motors. I have an edge with zdz 80 and absolutly love it. I think I am going to learn a lot with this plane. I have an old h9 extra 330L w/ 3w 100 (with countless flights on it) that I want to replace with a new h9 giant scale airplane. Please, Extra 260.

Mike I would post a pic, but I don't know how to upload. Since those ideas are not to be, then would you consider a staudacher(I think that's how it's spelled). From what I've heard, that is a good plane, and isn't modeled very often.

RE: New Hanger 9 Planes
Doug answered the question. It is the Yak 55sp tha Comp Arf sells. Staudacher......
I flew one of those in the 1992 TOC. Probably one of the first models ever done of the full size. It flew pretty well, but as for its looks and presentation........there is a reason it hasnt been modeled much.

How about an 80cc sized Ultimate. I haven't seen one on the market. Or, how about a Meyer 360. That would be an unusal plane that is capable of extreme airbatics. I still think that you should ARF Peter Goldsmiths 46%Cap.
