Default H9 Extra 260 27% and DA-50

The manual shows the MTW Canister muffler for the Extra which is what I need to use but when I look up online at places to order it there are apparently different headers with different "drops" etc that can be used for this setup. What exact headers and connections are required to connect the DA-50 to the MTW in this plane? I am sure someone has done this before and must know. The headers are around $50 and I don't want to order the wrong one.

Also on the online errata it says

"The dimension shown on page 20, step 6 of the manual that references 2 7/16" should be 2 9/16". 2 9/16" is the correct dimension. This has created some confusion but the reference lines on the firewall are in the correct location and should be used for reference when installing your engine."

Does this hold true for that same dimension given for the DA installation on page 22 Step 2? Or for the DA should we use 2 7/16th still?

No, the engine offset is the same with any engine. The firewall not the front of the cowl dont move so the engine is irrelivant, the offset is the same since the right thruse is the same.

On the header, just call DA and tell them you need a header for that airplane, they know what you need.

Excellent, thanks! I assumed the offset would be that same, common sense said so but being my first gasser I am less likely to make assumptions on it.

I think he basically means it's the same for ANY engine, regardless... The middle is the middle... It's only offset because of the right thrust angle so that offset will put the motor shaft in the center on the front of the cowl if the center at the front of the motor box is where the line is. However perhaps Mike will correct me if I am wrong.
