May be a little late for this but I just came across this thread. Me Personally love the Corsairs. THey are with out doubt my favorite warbird. I would love to see Hangar 9 come out with a 80+ inch Corsair with the same style retracts that are in the GS P-47. Just an Idea hope to see one one of these days.:D

I would love to see a 50cc Corsair ARF done right, with flaps and retracts. I was hoping that Topflite would make one after their Mustang ARF came out, but it doesn't look like Topflite wants to service this part of the market. That leaves the door wide open for Hanger 9, and your high quality ARFs.

Alrighty then! Since this thread died, Horizon has introduced quite a few new warbirds--Hellcat, Camel, another T-34, and Spitfire, plus the great looking 150 P-51, not to mention the two P-47s that were released early this year.

Thanks Horizon! I have bought the T-34, will soon buy the Spit, and eventually the Camel.

I anxiously cling to hope amid rumours of an Axis bird of some type on the horizon (pun intended).

How about a Reno Sea Fury, like in the 80cc market. How about Critical Mass[sm=thumbup.gif]

As many people, I've enjoyed the Hangar9 planes. Their quality and ease of build is amazing. At my field, however, flying anything bigger than a .40 is hard (pretty small). I think that a 40-sized Supermarine Spitfire, with scale retracts and split flaps would take my first choice. I'd get one the day they came out! I know that the scale retracts on such a small plane make handling harder...but the looks make it worth it. The Spitfire is the most gorgeous and beautiful Warbird out there, and there aren't any good 40-size ARF's.

FW-190 A model

Perfect choice to rival all of your mustangs.

I think the FIAT G55 / G59 is a good choice: easy to build, big wing area, and easy to duplicate camufolage (overall green for the G55, overall silver for the G59).. and made in Italy is trendy! Anybody knows it already?

OK, the G55 was a late WW2 bomber interceptor equipped with german DB605 engine; the G59 was a post war advanced trainer built using the same airframe, coupled with a RR merlin engine. Both excellent planes, I'm about to start building one .60 size from scratch using plans available in Italy. If you want to know something more about Italian warbirds, read the thread on the MC 200 Saetta, I posted some links.
Cheers

I'll add support to a Sea Fury or Spitfire something to suit OS200 or DL30 something in that range. As far as I know no one is doing a Spit in a larger size.

Cheers

I vote for a Sea Fury, And bring it in bare. So we can make our Reno racers out of them. Size wise I think a Evolution 50GX (3.1) Gas Engine by Evolution Engines will do great

F4U Corsair

I just bought the CMP F4U Corsair 50 58" Nitro. Do you know anything about the bird?
