RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Mike,
I am loving your re-released Cap on a DA-85 also only running one servo with the c/f goodies coming in at 21.5 lbs. I know this has to be another winner for you. That DA is a beast:D:)[8D];) |

RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
hi mike, i have an older zdz 80 twin. would you suggest this motor for the sukhoi? i fly a bit of 3d and pattern.
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
No experience with the ZDZ, but with the DA-85 it has plenty of power to spare, so less would still be very good.

RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
I have two 8611a's and three 8711's... should i use the 8611a's in the elevators or ailerons?
What size servo arms, I need to order those... |
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
I'm using 8611A on ail and elev and 1 8711 on rudd. I'd use the 8711 on ail and 8611A on elev given what you have. I use the aluminum JR servo arms.

RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Thanks Mike, I can't wait!
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Oh yeah, what battery sizes do you recommend?
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
I used 2 x 4500 mah Lipos on the rx and a 3rd on the ign. More than is needed, but the packs arent too heavy so I prefer to have plenty of battery

RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Mike!
I'm waiting for mine to come... hope I get it by the end of the year! Anyway, I'm putting a ZDZ Super 80 RV-J with a JMB can which is huge. It's about 83mm diameter and 24" from sparkplug to end. Will that header/can setup fit in the tunnel... i'm assuming it has a can tunnel? Also, do you know if the Hangar 9 decal on the cowl is already attached when it comes or will that have to be installed? Thanks Much! Lyle |
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
how do the stabs attach? I will have to remove them every time unfortunately...
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Its pretty tight in the can area. The MTW 110 fits (69mm dia) but there isnt a lot more room. The decal will be on a sheet not on the cowl.
The stab attached with two tabs under each stab (like the one on the 35% 260 x 2) attached to the fuse with a 4-40 bolt in each. |
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Nice, that is the way to do a stab in my opinion!
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Couple more questons: Does the DA bolt right to the firewall? Will the same size wingtube be used so an older Carbon one will fit this plane?
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
AEROSHELDON,
Yes Tha DA 85 bolt right on the firewall. Serge |
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Yes the DA-85 bolts directly onto the fwall. The wing tube is the same as is used in the 35% 260.
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Thanks! Do we still think Mid-December?
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
No. Its looking like early Jan.
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Uh-Oh, there goes Christmas present for this one!!
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
ORIGINAL: MMcConville Its pretty tight in the can area. The MTW 110 fits (69mm dia) but there isnt a lot more room. The decal will be on a sheet not on the cowl. The stab attached with two tabs under each stab (like the one on the 35% 260 x 2) attached to the fuse with a 4-40 bolt in each. Cheers, |
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
Is this set up like an Aero-Works quick build kit?
|
RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi
I would like to know what modifications have been made to this ARF versus the previous H9 Sukhoi 33% ARF and one other question, is the Hanger 9 on the cowl already applied and permanent or does the builder get to apply it?
