Thank you for the compliments, SeamusG. Actually, thecovering took about 40 hours to apply. Research and design probably tookanother 30-40. Root of the elevator/stab is 8", tapering to 6" at thetip. the stab and elevator are half and half, other than the counterbalance.<< still get the control gobbly gook - SNAFU -
Bottom of the rudder is 7", tapering to 5" at the top. If I everbuild another, I'm going to redesign the wing for wider ailerons. I could 3Dmine if I had better wing control. It snap rolls like a banshee with theincrease in tail surface. It also resembles the space shuttle lifting off withthat Saito 125 on the nose, haha. Pulls straight up forever, and flat spinslike no other plane I own.
