I suspect it has something to do with GPC_MAGIC_QUOTES and or escaping the quotes as they get inserted into the databse.

i am miserable when RCU is on the fritz. was it last weeknd or previous to that? RCU was down virtually the whole weekend. i didn't have anything to do.
