Default Raptor 50 servos - Align DS610?

So I just dusted off my Raptor 50 this weekend after leaving her sit for a couple years (sorry!). The S3004s are getting sloppy, and I'd like to replace them this fall (I won't get many flights in over the summer). I know the S3004s aren't the greatest, but I built it just to get into the heli part of the hobby a few years ago. They have done the job, even flipping her upside down a few times and I really don't feel like setting it up after replacing all servos and switching it over to my JR 9303. I see Align DS610s are quite strong and fast, so my question is would you recommend replacing all servos, minus the tail, with the same type? Any opinions on servo combinations are welcome, thanks!

Yes they work very well.

What tail servo are you using?

Throttle servo doesnt have to be anything that fancy though.

GY401 with S9254 I think? I agree that's overkill for the throttle, but I want something just as fast, or very slightly faster to keep up with the collective. I was debating throwing something like the DS420 in there, but I'm not sure how well that would work. Cheers.

Why do you feel you need a fast throttle servo?

I prefer to have the throttle match or lead the collective

A common misconception.

The throttle isn't moving very far, especially in idle up, and there's no load on it. Any .2 or better servo is fine on the throttle.

No matter how fast you yank a throttle arm back and forth, an internal combustion engine can only respond to throttle changes so quickly.

if your using a govener, that a fast throttle servo is important. align 610's are perfect and a 650 for the tail would also be a good choice. thats my x50 set-up with a 620 for throttle

Update: Well, I ordered the 610s and a 650 two days ago. I also received my JR 921 so I'll be switching it over to my JR 9303 when they arrive. The reason I ordered them was because my S9254 went wacky on me just as I was stopping to come in for a landing two weekends ago. I couldn't get an auto setup in time. Don't think it would have mattered as the servo didn't die, it just went crazy. Good thing it did die, as the t/r servo is the only thing I wasn't going to replace! I found that the pin in the tail pulley started coming out, so I'm thinking that was causing some vibration and overworked the servo. Or, it was just its' time...
