Default Raptor 50x Build

Got a raptor 50x from rcuniverse partly assembled never flown. I have most of parts I need a motor, wanting os 50 hyper. Now I have Savox servos sv 0220 high voltage, futaba gy520 gyro, 2700 lipo for power and spectrum receiver and a voltage reducer for gyro and future tail servo. Will try to post updates as I go.

Default Pics finally

Main like the carbon look. Most parts was already done by previous owner. I did have to recheck stuff and try to figure out where screws Went because they was in ziplock bags not that hard though.

Well if anyone looks at this I am looking at motors. Was going to go with os 50 than thought a bought a 56 thunder tiger? Anyone with experiences with motors? I had both before myself for a short time intell I sold out and went back to airplane. My thunder tiger motor ran good it was a 39 I think my is ran good to it was a 50. Only had for about 6 months tell I sold that was 7 years ago I think so anyone with options welcome. I seen an asp on eBay for cheap but no ring and it looks cheap so not sure thinking that's not the way to go. Also I got my receiver on my Lipo but what you all think that may get warm and harm receiver? I can move it back but don't know my electric helies Lipos don't get very hot so it may be ok not 100% sure used Nimh in last raptors I had so first Lipo in nitro.

Well ended up going with os 50 hyper. Added another 2 cell 2700 lipo. I am getting about 7 to 8 min flight did 3 flights and packs was at 4v so not to bad. Come access a major problem the next day went out to start it and this was twice now that this happened the nut that holds fan and clutch on came lose! After twice I started to investigate the problem the previous owner when putting it together put the starter shaft that goes through clutch bell in wrong. He put the shaft flush with the bottom of the bell instead of putting the hold pin in the grove on shaft it was at bottom. That I think was making the nut on motor back off, don't know how it even started because it was hardly going in the one way bearing on clutch. Other than that helie flew nice motor was a lot quiter than I thought it would be running real rich so hopefully this starter issue will be fixed and can get some more flights on it to dial in the motor.

So got to put 2 more test flights on titianx yesterday and think the clutch bell issue is taken care of. Now just got to work out balancing and may have to do some more blade tracking checks. All in all its flying pretty good need to keep working on leaning the motor out she is drinking fuel fast lol. Been stinking windy and rainy a lot hard to get some good tuning hours in.
