Default Muffler for Raptor w/OS 32 SX-H

My Raptor 30 kit didn't come with a muffler for some reason, so I need to get an aftermarket one for the OS. Any recommendations?

Level7, I've been using the Century 3033, and just recently the mounting holes stripped, and others have had the same problem with the 3033, so I wouldnt recommend that one even though it is a nice running muffler, but I'm going to order the Maverick TT upgrade muffler that Heliproz sells for $29.99. I think another muffler that has been used successfully is the KSJ399, it is a 2 piece muffler, and sells for $89.00 at Heliproz, and $110.00 at other places.

I like the KSJ style but it is a little pricey for a 30, in my opinion. Daz...

When you strip the mounting bolt holes just get a longer screw and put a nut on the outside.

The OS 32 likes a large volume muffler like all OS engines do. I put an old Hatori 46 size muffler on one of my 32's and it had noticeably more power.

A friend put a 90 size Hatori on his 61 WC and it really came alive also. And the 50s love a 60 size muffler and the 60 muscle pipe.

Scotty, I put the longer bolts on it last night, with the nuts on the other side, actually only one side was stripped, but I put nuts on both sides anyway.

Has anyone noticed the inlet on the KSJ muffler .. nowhere near matches the exhaust port on the OS 32.

The Century CN3033 has become the muffler of choice here for the OS 32SXH.

Dazzler-I have seen stripped muffler bolt holes in many mufflers including the K&S (on my OS61sx) and I have not found any problems with the three CN3033's I have (two are the "A" version ....only difference is the bolt hole pattern...on an OS50SXH and an SO46FXH).

Don't laugh, but if you want a decent OS & Raptor muffler (pipe) check with heli world. They had one that was discontinued for $15.00! It was a pipe bullet type polished even. Probably not a muscle pipe but for $15 bucks who could complain, but there's only 5-6 left earlier better hurry if you want one..See yall guys later I'm off to pick up a few cases of fuel and some goods at the hobby stor.

Is anybody using it that could give a comparison to the Weston or KSJ mufflers?

I've used both and found that the KS&J made more power than the Weston, go figure.

I really like my 3033, I used the longer bolts with the nuts on the end, and its working fine. It seems to be holding well, Daz...
